That's exactly ...You hit the nail on the head! That's exactly how I'm starting to feel. At first I felt as if I shouldn't be feeling stressed because we're at home like usual. My husband is working (at home). We're all healthy. I should be grateful, and I am. But it doesn't change the fact that I'm worried about many things. The isolation is starting to wear on me. On all of us. I will do just as you said, to put my worries on the altar. In fact, if a student's dual enrollment grades are high enough, they do not have to take the SAT or ACT at all -- they are automatically accepted into the university since the student has already proven they are capable of college-level work. A lot of schools address this problem with books like Captain Underpants. That is the sexist answer IMO. Boys answer to good books too. You don't have to give them stupid dribble to get them to read. Anyhoo, I'm still a tomboy at 55 and have raised tomboys. I'm not saying these aren't for girls. Feel free to share with your girls. I did. ~ MaureenHomeschool Connectionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09571985282210460624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7626646903115727860.post-83618682589966460252017-12-05T09:24:59.661-05:002017-12-05T09:24:59.661-05:00Why aren't these for girls? I think that book should be read by every high school student. Great list - I'm not a Shakespeare fan either, but I wouldn't say that out loud :-) I do love the addition of Uncle Tom's Cabin and To Kill a Mockingbird - both favorites of mine.
